Scope of Immunology:
Antigens are continuously evolving: be it micro-organisms which take advantage of nuclear machinery; or particulate matter from the ever-growing industrial operations, they constantly create a need for the discovery of newer assays, drugs and therapies. Behind every successful product, there are numerous painstaking researches conducted, to deliver the best in the market. Immunologists have created numerous new methods, including novel methods for delivering a homogeneous immunoglobulin readiness, viz., monoclonal counter acting agent, by utilizing debased antigens. The improvement of these entirely characterized reagents reformed immunoassays and discovery frameworks that utilize antibodies. In addition to antibodies, other immunologically important molecules have been produced and are being developed as therapeutic agents. The complexity of the immune system has led to some intrinsic obstacles with clinical research, particularly in relation to targeting the right genes, identifying the appropriate patient population and accessing internal tissues for testing. High frequency of illnesses like allergic rhinitis, asthma, sinusitis, hyper sensitivity and other respiratory hypersensitivities continue to increase the demand for innovation and product-development in the field of immunology. For example, as indicated by the WHO, more than 300 million patients experienced asthma in 2013 and the numbers are expected to increase to more than 400 million by 2025. As per a survey led by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention in 2013, in the U.S., between the times of 1997 to 2011, sensitivities among kids expanded more than 50%. In addition, as per the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), more than 17 million individuals in Europe were influenced by food sensitivity in 2015. The Global Immunology Market is expected to experience continued growth, from $61.5 Billion in 2015 to $74.2 Billion in 2022, at 2.71% CAGR.
